19" All Season Choices

I'm just thinking ahead and looking for a set of 19" All Season tires in 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 but I came up empty handed so far. Any pointers?

235/35/19 and 275/30/19 would actually be closer in terms of rolling diameter, infact they're almost identical in that regard. Both Bridgestone and Pirelli offer all-season tires in those sizes.

No, it isn't necessarily the case. You have to look at the individual tire and look at the Revolution Per Mile and go from there. I'll take a look at the Bridge. I used to have the Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S, which were great. The Bridge RE960 A/S spec is as follows: 235/35R19 817 revs per mile, 275/30R19 814 revs per mile, so it is within spec.

I might be moving to a place that rains most of the winter and only snows once. I have no need for snow tires in the winter any more. That's why I want to run a dedicated set of A/S tires instead.

Oh I know, standard convention dictates that a 30mm difference in width corresponds to a profile height change. But I checked both of those before making my post and was surprised to see that the Pirelli and Bridgestone have the exact same revs per mile, not even one off from each other.

However, if you really want 235/265, the Toyo Proxes 4 is available in those sizes with revolutions per mile of 813 and 822 respectively: http://marktg.toyotires.com/file/18970.pdf

You know you're the first person that actually got that joke? I've been saying that for the past month or so when applicable and no one ever said anything. haha.

In case if I moved out of the snow belt, I think I'll go with the Pirellis and the Bridges. I have had good experience with them in the past.

I laughed so hard when I saw that. I don't think people would get it unless they've seen the movie. Also, there's those PHANTOM tires too.

Toyo Proxes 4 are made in that size

Bridgestone Potenze RE960AS is made in a 235.35.19, but not a 265.30.19, however they do have a 275.30.19

The Toyo proxes 4 will work great for you

The RE960AS will work if you are running a conservative rear offset

Zoeb,

Thank you for the reply. I'm running a very conservative offset in the back. It's +35 on a 19X9.5 wheel. I know the RE960 A/S has a very boxy side wall design.

A lot of our wheels are 19x9.5 +35 in the rear and we've sold a ton of them with 275.30.19 tires on an E92 and it always works out well

The only time you'd run into issues is if the car was SUPER low, but even then you most likely will still be ok

Those Toyo Proxes 4's are crap in winter conditions. I used to have them mounted on my OEM 230's.

I also did not want to run 275's on 9 inch rims because 265 is plenty of width on them. If I had 9.5 inch rims, I would consider.

If I end up going with a new rim that is 9.5 in the rear, I might try to go 235 275 and go back to all season tires.

Yeah but... what about 3 slim girls? Cause added up they could be the same weight as one fat girl.

Oh, I forgot to mention, no one sits in the back seat either, so my E92 is more like a 2 seater and the back seats are for my bag and white coat.

Part of my problem is that I think I want to go to a 9.5 inch wide Et 30 offset wheel on my E92. At best, I only think Im going to be able to swing a 265 in the rear. 275 probably wont work with that offset.

Again, I am really hoping that michelin will make its AS PS's in the 235/265 setup we would need for 19 inch rims.

yea, even with the 265's you'll probably need rolled fenders if your car is lowered

@ stock ride height you should be ok, but the second you lower it (if you aren't already) it will rub
