245/40/18 on an 8" wide wheel - any issues?
Tirerack indicates that the tires (Blizzak LM-25) can fit the range 8" - 9.5", but I'd love to hear others' experiences

your corners will bend up a bit, reducing your overall contact patch width, but it shouldn't be an issue. ultimately however, the thinner the tires, the better, so if you can go 225/235 do it.

I think the e60 uses that size on 8" wide wheels, so you should be okay.
