Start/Stop light on dash

Every time I come to a complete stops this light appears and then it goes away once I start driving again, what does it mean? I've posted a picture below:

I think your auto start stop system is not available for the time being.

it appears when I put it in park as well, yet I'm able to shut the car off?? You might be right though I'm not sure

Do the cars that old even do the auto-stop stuff at lights?

Probably neutral safety switch is bad. Its not telling the car its in neutral so the system cant trust to use the stop/start function, worried it would try and start the car in gear and surprise!

There are many things which affect the SS system. What you need to do is scan for codes.
