Heat up the fins inside the wheel well and push them in to avoid rubbing. Otherwise drop down on the spacer size.

I shaved my fins down 50% with an exacto knife. I made a line across fins 4/5/6 across the middle of them left to right. And hand shaved mine down with a razor slice by slice until 50% of the material was backed out. That way I still have some fin protection from rocks and stuff.
Lowered on KW HAS 15MM Front spacer 12MM Rear spacer Pzeros. No rub. Seen here. https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...29&postcount=3

So with Pirelli Pzeros, on an xDrive, and lowered I've heard some varying input on spacers.
I've read that there is no trimming needed for 10mm up front with Pirelli, and if you want to go slightly wider you can with some some trimming as Bigworm suggested. I've heard the biggest you can go in the rear is 12mm spacers? How flush is the 10mm front/12mm rear set-up? Am I better to aim for 12mm front and 12mm rear? |

My rears pzeros would rub a little with 12's until I raised it up to what you see now. I would prefer to have 15MM all around, but the rear has a bulging fender liner right behind the fender cut out. My plan is to try 15MM rear once I get some Michelin tires all around. I think 12/12 is the best bet for pzeros. 15MM up front looks better, but it rubs until shaved down and it does bother me that I have my front track spaced out more than my rear with my 15/12R setup. My hope is that once I get Michelins that I can go 15/15 for equal spacing from OEM design and be done.

Did you trim the plastic up front to prevent it from rubbing at all with the 12mm spacers?

Sure. Sorry for the bad picture quality. Its hard to capture with the sky the way it is here right now. I basically shaved the horizontal fins you see about 50% back with an exact knife. I started out with a dremel sanding wheel, but that just made a mess. I then switched to an exacto knife and that made much cleaner cuts.

If your lowered and want flush you will have to go bigger spacers. 18f and 15r. If p zeros just trim the slats. |

I'm going with 10F/12R with Pirellis when my MSS springs are fitted in a few week's time - hopefully no/minimal rubbing as that'll do my head in
