KW will offer newly designed replacement rear springs for current owners

Confirmed with KW Germany via email that they will offer newly designed longer rear springs for those who currently own one that wish to replace. I believe this is due to the complaint’s for the rears being too low. You’ll have to contact your dealer you purchased it from. Not sure if your dealer files the claim or you do but KW states a claim has to be filed if you want replacements.. They said by end of next month you should be able to file it. KW states by June revised kw springs will be on the market.

KW didn’t mention anything about this being a secret to me so I hope I’m not leaking any info.
But for all you guys enthusiasts, this is a good day. No more sagging rear ends.

Good on them. Obviously enough people were complaining about how much the rear end drags, which is why I decided to go in a different direction when lowering my car.

Glad the aftermarket spring/suspension manufacturers are stepping up to replace the initial versions that didn't have the ideal(?) adjustable range.
Kudos to MSS and KW.

Im glad to hear I wasn't the only one who thought the ass was way too low. Huge kudos to KW Germany for listening to there customer base, checking there work and uncovering that there was a problem obtaining the specified drop range advertised. I asked about this about 3 weeks ago and now we have a new spring coming out soon. That's some seriously quick turn around time.

KW's spring spacers will get the extra lift needed, or M3s can wait for the updated springs. We keep the spring spacers in stock for those that want them. For those kits already installed, labor cost (depending on your shop) to swap out the springs might be more than simply fitting the spacers in place - it's up to the end user. IMHO - the spacers are perfectly fine alternative. M4s are perfectly fine as is without spacers.

For those that already have a kit installed, claims will need to be made through an authorized KW dealer. You can verify your seller through the KW dealer portal here: https://www.kwsuspensions.com/dealersearch. Once we get details, we'll be sure to pass them along.

Our dealer page can be seen here: https://www.kwsuspensions.com/dealer...details?id=907

Confirmed my G82 was not affected. The M3 rear fender sits lower than the M4. Keep in mind that the M3 is designed to have an uneven gap if the car is completely level. The front gap is bigger than the rear. Whether you use the spacers or the longer spring, or even a different kit altogether, and you adjust to have a perfectly even front to rear gap, your car will actually have a forward rake (the front will be lower than the rear). This is not a big deal for street driving, but does increase brake dive on hard braking.

Correct. But the version 1 KW HAS is much lower in the rear than they advertise. So at max low front, you had to be at max height in the rear to balance it. Thus you are not really able to adjust it to the range they said you could. I did not want to be at max low up front. And raising the front a little higher meant the rear would be lower than it should even with the rear fenders cut lower than the fronts.

Advertising 0.4-1 inch at the rear. However in real life it is 1 inch and beyond.

You’ll have to file a warranty claim through kw NA. Fill out a tech sheet. I’m getting my revised spring tomorrow. Will post updates once I get them on.

Did you have to pay for them and get credited once your old springs are returned?
