i remember when i had my bbs chs it was 19x8.5 et 35 and i put a 5 mm spacer so brought it down to 30 and rubbed a lil bit.
i cant imagine how much youd rub with a 19x9 et 25 cause thats like another what? 10MM?

I'm running 10mm spacers with ET35 Front offsets, final ET25 and I don't rub. V710 wheels 19X8.5 Fronts, and a mild drop..Eibach Pro-kit. 19X9 is a different story. Like Pak said it prob won't work.

I'm running a 19x9 et 30 front on my E90 w/ 225/35/19 Toyo T1R, dropped about 2" on H&R coilovers with very minimal rubbing. To me it looks like theres room for another 5 mm on the front, but it definitely will rub with a 235 tire.
Throw a 225 on there and rock some stretch!

it really depends how low you are. As you can tell from the posts, it varies and the main factor is the height in the car.
On h&r sports, you'll be pushing it a lil bit. What tires are you running? That's a factor as well, since some tires are rounded and some are square (sidewall). Comparing to my setup on kw v3's with a lower drop than h&r sport i run a 19x8.5 et22 on 235 toyo t1r's. I ran the calculator at the top and it states: 9mm LESS clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 3mm the strut side won't be a problem, but that 3mm on the outside is pushing it. I'm as flush as you can pretty much be with my fenders rolled all the way. Your setup will be superflush, but the problem you may encounter is rubbing. Rolling your fenders will help alot, but you may still rub on sweeping turns or hard dips. Another option is to adjust the camber more so the tires sit in a bit. It'll help turn-in response but the drawback is premature wear on the inside tire. In the end it's really if you wanna go that far. Anything is possible, it's just how much are you willing to go to make it work. |

I'd say just stay on the safe side and get a 19x8.5 et 25 or even a 30 and if you dont like it just put a hubcentric spacer on it. its better than buying a 19x9 et 25 and not working at all because of the rub. It'll be a waste of money and hard to resell

Will 19x9.0 +38 fit with a 235?
I don't really understand what the heck offset means. I just tried to use an online wheel offset calculator and it said "extend 3mm"

I'm with you at19x9 et35 with 10 mm spacer (needed, for now, to clear my springs/coil). So far I haven't taken any hard cornering whatsoever to avoid rubbing until I get my fronts fixed. But, if you have to go for the toyo T1R which probably have the most narrow and rounded sidewall. I have an e92 and through research the e90's have a little more clearance.

225 is not too intense of a stretch on a 9" wheel. Check out the volkswagen guys...I've seen 225s and 215s on a 10" before! I'm not advocating this is safe, but Toyo does say the maximum size wheel for a 225 T1R is 9".
If you want aggressive offsets without rubbing, you gotta go for skinnier tires or fender mods. Or just leave your car at stock height

Thanks for the photos, I'm too lazy to take pics....my wheels are dirty. Anyways as you can see from those pics, a 225 on a 9 isnt a very aggressive stretch.
This is stretch (215 on a 9.5) and Nebster....you're in Team Solo? Do you know my homie Alex with the PG GLI?

i did a streth on my old wheels to get them to fit and they still rubbed like a bitch. luckily the new 335 is more forgiving for nice sets of wheels
