Bridgestone RE-11
I have read the RE-11 was released some time ago in other countries worldwide..
Anyone know when this tire is scheduled to be released in the US? Interested in them for my next set. They say it's better then the RE01R, so it's gotta be good. |

I too am looking forward to see some reviews for this tire. Their is still no official release date for the US yet, even though they announced this tire way back in March. From the reviews, they say dry braking and wet cornering grip is improved greatly over the RE01R.
I highly recommend you take a look at the Nitto NT05 as well, which will be out in February 2009. Its honestly an amazing tire and i have been very impressed (coming from a guys whos had RE01R's before). I wrote a full review after a track day in this section about the tire (incase you missed it). I would love to see how the new RE11, NT05, as well as the Z1 Star Specs do in a head to head comparo. |

They do have a head to head with the Z1 star spec/neovas/re11/R1R on BMI using the miatas. Amazingly, the Z1 beat them all.

From what I saw on the Japanese site, the only 19" offerings in our size would be the 245/35/19 fronts and 275/30/19 rears, which if they are as wide as typical Max performance Bridgestones are, might be too wide for our fenders unless you had a more sunken offset. Needless to say, topping the RE-01R would be something I'd love to see.

We have to remember this, alot of the tires you see such as the R1R, RE-01R and Nevoas are all pretty old by now. What we need to look forward to is, imo, RE-11R which might not be out til 2010, Dunlop Z1 Star Spec in bigger sizes for our 19s or just wait for the Advan AD08 Neovas or NT-05. After seeing how Lawrence's tire performed on the track, these tires look very promising.
