Random loss of Traction control and random brake light

So I was out driving my FBO 2008 335i coupe earlier today, not particularly pushing it just driving leisurely. Then, seemingly randomly, my dashboard lit up with a traction control disabled light, followed by the traction control and brake light indicators illuminating in Orange. I pulled over and ran codes, nothing came up. No loss of power, I still have abs. Only thing that I can tell is wrong is I can't turn back on traction control and the brake light won't go off. I recently lowered the car on bilstein b14 Coilovers, and the rear pads do need to be replaced (the car does not have brake pad wear sensors)
