Snow tires on RWD

My Dad drives the RWD Chrylser 300 and wants to only by rear snow tires. Do you need four and can you get away with 2?

Snows should be run in sets of four only.

Definitely need all 4...explain that having traction on two tires, doesnt exactly help you when the rear is pushing the front, and the front is slipping out...you can imagine the rest
