Best tire size for VMR 710s on E92

Hi,

Ready to trade in my stock 18" Runflats and am seriously looking at VMR 710s. I'm a little hesitant going to 19" since I do occasionally track and autocross my car. But based on I have read here, it appears any performance hits will be non-existant to little.

For tires, I am looking at getting the F1 Asymmetrics. So my question is which tire size should I get? My research indicates that 235/35-19 F and 265/30-19 R is recommended. Will this also be the optimum choice if I am not interested in dropping the car and my occasional track/autcross use?

Thanks!

Yep, you've got the tire sizes bang on. 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear is correct sizes you should use on our staggered V710s. Sizes of your V710s should be 19x8.5 +35 front and 19x9.5 +33 rear. This is great choice if you're sticking with OEM suspension. The GY F1 Asymmetrics are great tires as well. You've chosen a great wheel and tire package

How come EAS V710 wheels/tire combo uses 245, 265 setup?

Yea, good question. It's these differences between these guys that initially were confusing.

Hopefully VMRWheels or someone else will respond.

that is wrong. the correct tire size is 235 35 19 and 265 30 19. even at this setup, the front wheel is slightly bigger in diameter. 235 35 19 and 275 30 19 is a perfect offset, but 275 30 19 will rub.

There are a few factors that come into play when running a 245 tire. It depends on which specific tire manufacturer, spring/shock stiffness, ride height, and alignment.

If you are looking for a direct bolt-on fitment, then stick with a 235.

I just sent you back a PM. Those sizes will definitely work, but will give off a slight stretch, front and rear.

Hi everybody, I now have a E93 335, with Style 127 M 19" wheels or VMR 710, I bought the car used so I do not know if the wheels are OEM or VMR. Either way, I have Nittos Extreme 555, nice looking and about 70% life left, great performance and adhesion . The set up is 235-35-19 front, 265-30-19 rear. None rubs at all, no spacers or any other modification. The only thing is as noted on another post, the rear looks dropped, there is almost no room between the fender and the edge of the wheel, and at the front there is room so the car lower at the back which personally I do not like. So, I am going for 255-35-19 and 235-35-19. see how that works.

by the way, non flat tires makes a hugue difference in handling and riding. RFT are super hard and stiff giving more perfomance but you feel every rock on the road. The ride on the Nittos, aside from the noise is pretty soft. I am switching to Michelin Sport PS2's.

By tomorrow I have them installed so, I'll post the results.

Anywone in for a set of Nittos ?. will post pics also when they are off.

Good Luck.

Hi, I'm wanting to purchase the same setup as this...however I have ST coilovers. Does these coilovers affect the fitment at all? I currently have style 189 stock wheels on.

We still recommend the same wheel and tire specs, however we can't guarantee rub free fitment on lowered cars. If you are not too low you probably won't have any issues though.

What's the best way for me to measure to make sure I purchase the correct width & offset fitment?

For your year, the sizing listed above is what we recommend. E90 LCIs are the only ones that have a slightly different offset for the rear wheels.

Well the reason I ask is because some guys are telling me a i can get 19X10's to fit on the rear...as long as i have the correct offset. Not sure what that is though. I figured measuring it would be the most sure fire way of ordering the correct size.

19x10 can also work. You would want either 19x9.5 ET33 or 19x10 ET38 in the rear with 265/30/19 tires.

Ok thanks, is there a way i can measure to make sure that offset will work with my ST coilovers?

By the way, the car will be dropped...not extremely aggressive, but to the point where it's slightly noticeable.
