Do you think the dealer should/will.....??
I bought my car about a month ago and has nav/idrive. I noticed several addresses in my area do not verify in the navigation and cannot create routes to the address. I also noticed a new nav DVD came out recently (since I got my car). Do you think the dealer should/will give me the latest DVD considering I just bought the car? Anyone else have problems with the "house number" not being in the list even for addresses that have been around for more than 2 years?
Thanks for the input!

Probably not but if you don't ask the answer is always "NO".
Now I do know with TomTom that if you buy a navi unit and if they come out with a new map within a year of buying the unit you get the new maps for free. You could use that as a potential argument. The maps being a little quirky is also the downside to navigation with any units, factory or portable. The addresses are always slightly off or just not found/mysteriously not there. My TomTom thinks I-71(the single major highway cutting right through Ohio from Cleveland to Cinci) is not there for a 30 mile span between Cleveland and Columbus. It wants you to get off and take back roads and get back on, very odd, even though as you continue driving the road is still shown on the map Take the GPS units with a grain of salt. They will never be 100% correct 100% of the time. But they at least get you within a reasonable distance of where you need to be or at least to the street necessary then just find the address yourself.

"Oh, you can purchase the New 09' DVD in out parts department for $100.00" |
