past 4k rpms

This may be a stupid question, but when I floor it I feel like my 335i pulls a lot harder a little past/at 4k rpms. Why is this? I thought our tq was supposed to be pretty linear?

Can you elaborate on this? I was contemplating getting an intake for the slight performance improvement. some mfg's claim 25 hp gains but i dont buy into that im thinking about 10 crank, and also the improved sound

Because Torque is only one variable in the equation. HP is not linear.
