JC Sportline CF Interior Trim
I really loved the CF interior on these cars but the M50i I purchased did not have it. I think it really adds an M element to it especially given our 40i has the exact same trim. I looked and looked for used trim pieces or OEM (not available). no luck. So I stumbled upon JC Sportline. The only product I’ve seen on this forum is their front sport lip for the M sport equipped G05 purchased by a few members.
Now, I was very skeptical about buying this trim as overlays are often CF “style” or just plain tacky. Judge for yourself. The trim arrived in a well padded and double boxed. The trim pieces are very thin but not translucent. Because they are thin, they do feel slightly flexible. They all looked incredible. Fitment so far is spot on but I’ve only tested a few pieces. Have not fully applied them yet but I’m very excited to install when I have time. Are they the same as OEM? Nothing ever will be hit it’s pretty darn close. Purchase: Via eBay and negotiated with seller for a lower price. Retails for $750ish. |

Interesting. I can't wait to see what you think after install, if you don't mind updating this thread?
I love the idea of removable overlays so the car can be put back to OEM if needed, but always wondered how an overlay would look on the edges. |

Here are a few pics. Had to finish install this morning before work. Fit and finish is very good. Are there a few tiny corners that aren’t perfectly flush? Yes but only a few; where it might be rounded instead of squared. I snapped a pic of the trim so you can see how thin it is. This is key in making sure the trim sits nice, flat, and flush with the surrounding areas. I’ve seen some pretty bad CF trim pieces that are thick, have a rubbery gloss/touch to it, and clearly look aftermarket. Honestly, only I’d know it’s there. Very happy with the overall product and would do it again. I also feel less stressed if the trim gets scratched because I can always remove it if I want.
For those already with CF trim and want to take it up one more level, I’ve got 7 more pieces I’d consider selling for the front/rear door panels, rear seat Ambient lighting ( back of front seats), and center rear touch controls cover. PM me if interested. |

Looks great. As good as you could get with overlays, and overlays have other advantages over a full trim swap.
I'm glad you're happy. This is something I will consider when I get bored of my interior. |

I agree that it does look good, virtually OEM and I was tempted so made some enquiries.
Turns out this kit is only available for LH drive vehicles not RH

How removable would it be feom the dry wood OEM trim?
The original trim on my car are not glossy wood, but more exposed looking wood ( not sure what the name of it is ) so wondering if removing the CF at some point will ruin the original trim |

I have no idea as that depends on a lot of factors. If you used a heat gun/ hair dryer to soften the adhesive, I don’t think it would be that difficult. I guess I’ll find out when that day comes.
