Uneven Ride Height

I was planning on installing my MSS kit on my G80 and took measurements before the drop and noticed a difference of 3/16" between the driver side and passenger side for both front and rear. Driver side is higher.

I figured after installing the springs it may even out, granted they are still settling since it's a new install. After driving about 50 miles the difference is still 3/16".

Is this unevenness normal, and should I adjust either side to match one another?

Is the passenger side heavier on our cars?

Interesting. Wondering if it evens out with the driver in the car? If this makes any sense.

I was watching a video from whatsyourforte. He was lowering his g80 and took measurements and talks about this. Definitely worth the watch. Hope that helps

Could be urban legend but read once a long time ago its intended to roughly compensate for driver weight.

Have no idea if its true or not.

This may well be…there are tolerances on all the body parts, so it may be that the car height is even, but when measuring u notice a difference…u often notice that even more when corner balancing a car…

But what is interesting here that it's the same front and back…so could well be to compensate the driver weight

This could be true, sounds plausible.

I did the measurement on my G82 before the MSS install.
I was surprised to find out that the height was exactly the same on driver's side vs. the passenger's side.
Measured from bottom of the wheels to fender:
Front: 25-3/16"
Rear: 25-3/4"

This could very well be compensating for driver weight, however I didn't know they did this out of the factory.

When corner balancing my car, I often sit in the driver's seat while they do it. While height does play a role in balancing the car, it's more of a product of weight over each wheel that determines how the weight is distributed and the suspension setting for each corner.
