As the title says,

Bought a E90 and just wondering if the paddles can be retrofitted?

Yes, you can retrofit paddles. Check BMS site for their Paddle Shift Retrofit Harness. They also specify what other parts you need for it.

Couldn't find anything on BMS website

Is this an OEM thing you could buy from Tischer?

looks like you have to buy the harness kit from bms and then buy the oem parts from bmw to retrofit it.

has anyone here actually done this?
What exactly parts are required?

I have a sport steering wheel and steptronic trans,
Id like the paddles on the wheel and need to know what parts are needed and possibly a DIY thread

Yup I forgot to post something else,

they sell the conversions kit,
However the "super secret" we wont tell you what parts to buy until you spend a few hundred dollars is pathetic

I have no problems buying the converter box or whatever it is they are selling, No problems with that at all,

But I would like to know what other parts to buy that THEY don't sell so I can have it all ready to put on

Thats why I was asking who here has done this, and what parts did you need?

I would guess,

New steering wheel,
2 Paddles,
The BMS kit

Thats it? Or was there more you needed,

I was going to email BMS and ask But,

This is a cut and paste from their website

Can I just have the OEM part numbers before I purchase the harness?

No, You will need to purchase the harness to get the correct OEM part numbers. We do not recommend you buy any parts before you purchase the harness and install guide. You may purchase incorrect OEM parts that are not compatible with our harness or other necessary parts

So tell me, What do they care if I buy parts I don't need?
Ill return them
I'll sell them, I'll donate them, But I think thats pretty weak to withold info UNTIL you buy from them,
The parts you need they DON'T sell anyway so why should they care?
