H&R spring and EDC malfunction

i have H&R springs on my car over 3 weeks, and never have any problems. but the EDC malfunction message pop out on iDrive this morning.

"EDC malfunction, driver comfort reduce, drive moderately"

any H&R owners have same problem?

LOL, if I were a dealer and someone brought in an EDC malfunctioning car with H&R springs on it I would just laugh at them.

This is way you need to get on well with your dealer! I have never had a problem because of springs with my dealer and also my Merc dealer as well!

It could be anything. Too early to tell if it has anything to do with the springs or not.

I would DEFFINETLY take them off first before you took it in to the dealer, especially if your not buddy buddy with your Service Writer.

Common malfunction EDC is usually from a loose plug. Check it with the person who did the install, and it thats not the case, bring it back to the dealer. Most customers with H&R spring with EDC havent encounter any problem yet so far.

Hope everything goes well ! Keep us updated.

I wonder if the problem occurred because of the H&R's

it is good to hear that! I wonder if it was the H&R that caused the problem. That's rare, because mine works fine and I havent heard any problem from any other owners as well.

I started my car this morning and got the same message on my idrive screen and I don't even have any springs done to my car. I started my car a few hours later and the message was gone.

What gives!!??

glad everything is ok now ...

these first generation M3s are still raw I think ... BMW should do a better job testing their cars before releasing them to the public ...
