That's not an E90. It has a dipstick.

Well the crack might be bigger than a quarter, so you might need a new windshield.

Looks like an E34. It would be a 525i because that looks like a M50tu engine and because of the VANOS unit you can see, it would be a 92-95. (Or it may be an E36, in which case I know no details)
Sad to see a great car die like that, and wrong section. |

No, its not a e39, its a new concept set for release in '12 as a facelift for the new 7er. You can obviously tell from the kidney grills and new refined body lines. And from the looks of it, it has a completely reworked engine... hard to tell from the pic though...

Pinstripe on a BMW???
Maybe you guys can tell if it's a 3-series or 5-series by looking at the exterior mirror shape?

I hope you took the chip out before brining the car to the dealership so you don't void the warranty.

Okay, I admit it, I think it said 528 or something like that on the back, maybe it was 525. Someone had written '97 on a window, but I don't know if that was correct. It was in a wrecking yard. I put it here because I don't frequent the 5 series forum. I find this forum often lacks humor. You guys need to lighten up a bit, stop worrying about all the scratches and scuffs. I have more pictures, but this one was the one which made it least obvious it was wrecked.

I was going to offer some advice about having a very low or zero dollar deductible for your comprehensive coverage... that will cover cracked windshields that occur easily in these BMW's with the thin glass. In light of the photo, you might want to make sure the rest of your insurance coverage is up to snuff too! That's SOME rock that his your car! Like an avelanche with a few ton's of boulders crashing down on the road.
