Can't Decide

I cant decide between keeping my 335i or selling it because I'm not in the position to be making a $500 payment. I did find an '02 e46 m3 for about $20,000. Please help decide between 335i or e46 m3

do the thing that give you peace of mind thats whats most important in life anyway for me and an m3 is still going to make you happy 5 years from now. forget thats its an older model the point is that that is a marketing tool to fool people just make life easier my 2 cents thats all and good luck

If you can't afford the payments get rid of the 335. There is no point in ruining your finances over a car. That being said, the E46 M3 is (most likely) out of warranty and will be extremely expensive should something serious arise. I would look into something else that has some type of warranty.

You really need to take a look at where you are with your payments and what the car is worth - if you paid 45k and you can only get 30k now, but have only paid off like 7k on the car, then the 20k car is going to cost you 27k now - if your not upside down on yoru payments (like you put a lot down or had a big trade, then it sounds like it might be time to sell, but you'll take a bath on it - they are not worth a lot right now!)

Other things to consider is that an 02 M3 is a very high maintenance car and off warranty, so depending on condition and miles, you might spend almost as much on the M3 keeping it on the road - wouldn't recomment that particular car if your trying to keep costs down!
