VIN off?

Hi,

I replaced my DSC module as my mechanic said it was bad. I'm now trying to fix this mess, as I don't even know if it was bad in the first place. I have INPA, Ista d and P, the usual BMW tools. I did program several modules, but I'm getting VIN errors. What I'd like to fix, 4x4 not working, signal light not turning off, SAS can't be calibrated, hoping due to the DSC. Here is a list of my modules, why would so many VINs be incorrect? Before I re-vin them, I'd thought I better get some opinions first. I also have a transfer case actuator motor, but I thought I would see what I can do first.

Correct Part

Well I took a good look at it comparing it to the old one, and the model number is slightly different, but I looked both up and they are both for the AWD. The numbers are below. I also hooked up the old one to see if the motor runs when running the bleed, and it does. Also, with the old one, I can see an option to calibrate the steering angle sensor in INPA. Connected the new one back, and that option is gone. Perhaps I programmed/coded the new one incorrectly? That option was never there though.

I did perform the SAS calibration, but it still didn't work.

You haven't posted any faults but you must first encode the SZL with the DSC. Only when they are encoded are they paired and SAS calibration possible.

closer

I messed around a bit and coded the DSC again. Now in INPA I do see the option to calibrate SAS under the DSX option. It's still not working, blinker won't turn off. It was fine before it was in the shop, they changed the DSC and strut, and aligned the car. I did remove the steering wheel and cleaned the disc inside the SAS as well. Do I just buy a new one? I'm don't belive it just went bad like that.

6 errors I get now under the DSC:
6EC3 6EC3 - Lenkwinkel Sensor: Signal ungueltig, Status Fehler
5E4C 5E4C - Raddrehzahlfuehler Vorne Rechts: Leitungsstoerung oder Kurzschluss
5E24 5E24 - Raddrehzahlfuehler Vorne Links: Signalflanke fehlt (RDF-Typ 11i).
94C2 94C2 - DSC-SZL: Fehlereintrag fuer SZL: LWS nicht abgeglichen
5E4E 5E4E - Raddrehzahlfuehler Vorne Rechts: Signalflanke fehlt (RDF-Typ 11i).
5E24 5E24 - Raddrehzahlfuehler Vorne Links: Signalflanke fehlt (RDF-Typ 11i).

You will not be able to calibrate SAS with faults present. I know for a fact that the wheel speed sensor will be an issue having had that myself.
Work through your DTCs, resolve them, the calibrations will complete successfully thereafter.

Okay, I will do just that. I think I saw both fronts bad, so I'll look into that. Thanks.

Update, I have changed both front ABS sensors, cleared the errors in INPA, recalibrated SAS and all 4x4 and abs errors are now gone! Blinker works.

Thanks everyone for you help! I have replaced a bunch of parts as recommended by my mechanic, which was all incorrect.
