Would a 275/35-18 works all around?
I went to AAA Speedway today. First time being on that track. What a great experience indeed!
A gentleman next to me went out for the first time in his mint E39 M5..He was running 275/35-18 RA1 all around. From what he told me, his wheels are 18x9.5 all around. Now, if he can use 275 on his M5, than 275 would certainly works on the M3 but would it be too much for the front?? What do you guy think? Why did you go with 265 instead of 275? |

Shouldn't be a problem. 275/35/18 is the size Turner motorsports runs on all fours at the track on their E90 M3. They use 18x10 Forgeline wheels but an 18x9.5 width should work just fine too with that size tire. It makes for an ideal square set if you want to go that route.
I'm planning on going with four 18x9.5 Volk TE37s for a square set for the track. The great thing about that size is that there are many tire options. 275/35/18 gives you the choice of BFG-R1, Hoosiers, Nitto NT01, Toyo R888 or RA1, to name a few good ones.

Hello.
I'm looking at buying a set of 4 wheels in 18X9.5 with 275/35/18 all around on my E92. Do you if the setup from Turner was with stock suspension and stock fenders? Thanks for your help, Vincent |

I have a square set of 275/35 NT01s mounted on LTW5 18x9.5 ET35 with 12mm spacers all around effectively making them +23 offset wheels, and with Eibach springs installed, I have no issues although I haven't taken it to the track yet.

275 all around will work - I run 265 all the way around. probably 265 front and 275 rear would be more ideal. but then you cant rotate front to back.

I'm looking for a square setup. If it can fit in front with 18x9.5 wheels and need spacer that is fine. How tricky is it to use spacers? I've never had a car with spacers before? Are they tough to find?
Thanks again guys, Vincent |

Also looking for info on the this, would spacers be needed if running 18x9.5 on all fours with 275 tires?

Spacers needed for clearance or for looks?

I'm thinking about this too. Wondering if you need the spacers for clearance or are they really for the better looks? I'm wonding if I can stuff an 18" x 10" in front with 25 offset? Any ideas? |

spacers are no big deal. if you want square with the same wheel sizes and offsets you need about a 10 mm spacer in the rear depending on the offsets. I end up with no spacer in the front and 5 mm in the rear. I really should go to 10mm tho in the rear.

I'm running 265/40/18 PS2 up front and am getting some rubbing on the fenders. This is with the stock rears. Stock rideheight. No spacers.
I can't remember the offset of the stock rears. Anyone know? OP-275/35's should be ok providing the right offset. |
