can someone PLEASE tell me what part this is

i just got my car a week ago i never noticed this there..just today i vacuumed my entire car and just found it lying on the floor and its pissing me off cuz i cant figure out where it goes..does anyone know what this is and where it goes? thanks alot for the help..

that's what it is. It hides the track when you open your door. Mine fell off my passenger seat when I was cleaning it. I thought it would just snap right back in but the posts got bent. My dealer replaced it under warranty
