iDrive replaced...But nav cd is gone?

Hey everyone. Some may remember that my iDrive shutdown in June. I just had it replaced, but when it shutdown my nav disk was still in the drive. But now that they replaced the iDrive, the cd is gone. Do you think they threw it away or maybe it was in something that they switched and didnt check?

I called my SA but he hasnt returned my call yet so i dont know whats going on. Any ideas would be great, thanks!

If they're douchebags, they will deny it. I can't see them doing that though. I'm sure if you just show up and tell them what happened, they will make one appear for you. Just be nice and courteous. Don't go in there acting like they ganked your sh*t.

Did you get a new CCC?

If so, at least as of last year, you should get a new DVD with the new CCC.

Yeah he finally called me yesterday. Told me that because the drive wouldnt even respond, that they couldnt get it out. But that in two to three weeks it should be sent to me.

I did. It says on the paper that the CCC needed to be replaced. And he also told me i got the 30.2 program? Im not sure, dont know to much info with all of that. But thats what he told me. Ill ask him about the whole new DVD.

If you rnew iDrive did not come with amap CD, how do they know the Navi works? That is wierd. They should definately at least reuse your old disk if they can get it out or get you a free replacement if it's stuck in the drive.

I went to parts on sunday sense it was along the way to my aunts, but service was already closed. I already knew that. But i asked the guy at parts and he said he wasnt sure that i needed to talk to my sa

Would this whole getting a new cd still count if i had voided the warranty with aftermarket amp? Thanks guys

BMW used to require that you wait for the Nav disk to be returned, but that can take months. Speak to the service manager, BMW will now pay for a new Nav DVD when the old one can't be removed from the Nav unit.

Not sure, never wasted one on finding out. If it does, probably only pressed ones, it seems to have some difficulty even reading the +R. My wife's RDX won't have anything to do with the DL copy I made... could be the media, though, I suppose.

I had my drive replaced and both the nav disc and a CD were in the unit. Neither drive would spit out the disc. The dealership said they had to send the part to Germany (warranty issue) and that they (Germany) would extract the discs and send them back. In the meantime they lent me a nav disc. I didn't mind not listening to Chicago's Greatest Hits for a couple of weeks.
