Aftermarket brake pad options

I know this has been discussed in-depth randomly throughout the site... what brand are people using for pads besides OEM?

The big complaint is obviously dust and squeal. I'm WELL aware of sacrificing performance in the name of a more daily driver friendly pad. I've been able to cut the squeal down by bedding them in occasionally, but it's really not sustainable. I have a 50-mile round trip commute every day, and while most of it is highway, the squeal eats at my soul.

I'm ok with the dust now, but wouldn't mind a less-dusty pad. Looks like EBC yellow stuff may be the ticket to fit this? I'm not seeing a large selection of G8x pads out there.

If you want less dust and less sqeal, I'd suggest Endless MX72.
Had those on my previous M2c and will aswell get them for my M4.

They are suited for harder road driving aswell, but not for hard track use.

Currently the only aftermarket manufacturer producing pads for the G80/G82 is EBC. They make the Yellowstuff & Bluestuff, and say that they will be releasing their raceing pads soon. I managed to get 1 set of their Bluestuff, but will not need to install them for another month or so. However, due to the supply chain problems, availability in the US is now backlogged. I have some more on order, and have had shipping set back twice already. The current expected date is now late February. I don't know what the situation is in Europe.

I have sent a worn set of OEM pads to an American company so that they can start producing models for these cars. I have a feeling that I will see these pads before the EBC's.

Ebc Bluestuff. Gone through two sets.

They are *Very* dusty (more like powdery) on track..no so much on street.

How much longer do they last on track compared to oem? Particularly the rears

I cannot totally answer that because I only track with Bluestuff. The rears have been good for about 380 track miles and used two sets of fronts over that time.

The more you trail brake the more they will wear.

Fyi- These cars are brake by wire, and after my car threw a drivetrain error I learned that the brakes got so hot it threw a code and reduced engine power until I cycled the ignition. The brake system is particularly sensitive.
