Big Dilemma

Ok so my E90 driver side mirror was grazed by a semi truck about 2 months ago. They said they had to refinish the mirror cover, get a new motor and mirror glass. I went through insurance, they paid my monies but I was out the $500 deductible. I pre paid the mirror with my credit card, on 9/26. I was expecting it to be in maybe 2-3 weeks, the dealership body shop is suppose to call me up to tell me when the mirror is in, but its been approximately 2 months since I left the credit card deposit. I was wondering the fellow forum member opinions on this. Should I ask for a straight up refund, threatening with complaining to BMW NA, Dealership Hierarchy, etc? Or should I just wait a little longer, I mean this isn't a mirror to a Ferrari Enzo, its a freaken E90 3 Series. I feel as if I could probably find the mirror on my own at a cheaper price. Any input would be appreciated.

Yeah I know what you mean, but when your credit card was charged $800, for a mirror you've been waiting 2 months for hasn't arrived yet, the patience is running absolutely thin.

I've called in about 2 times now one time each month, and both times the woman on the other end just said, "It hasn't come in yet."

call up your credit card company and tell them the situation, they should be able to freeze that money until the problem is resolved

BMW parts on average arrive in less 5 business days. It's total horseshit. There is a problem somewhere, it's not lack of parts.

When they ordered BMW parts directly, the lead time is AT MOST 2 to 3 days, it has been 2 months, and now I call that total BS !!
OP, go down there and give them hell !

UPDATE, I called in he said he would call me tomorrow. I have to admit I had to try really hard to not lose my cool. After I said I was waiting for 2 months, he hesitated and there was like a 10-15 second silence. Finally he said, "I will call you tomorrow." I hope so, or else i'm going to do as suggested and go straight to the credit card dispute hotline.

Garage List
2008 E90 328i  [7.00]
Hell I ordered a leather case for my key and a all weather floor mat for my trunk and they only took 2 days to get to the dealership. 2 months is unacceptable.

Time to call the CC and cancel - there are other alternatives that should be able to respond better
