some 335i / DCT action

Sorry for the bad quality (not recorded with a real camera)

first clip: showes how smooth the gear box shift in AT

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJef8lb6DFc

second clip: manual mode going in a (almost 360°) turn keeping the revs at about 4000rpm and accelarating out, followed by a standing start in manual/sport mode, so manual shifting

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kv7vn81nbw

Third clip: again accelarating from a standing start in manual/sport mode (forgot to switch of the radio)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpfhdONCxTs

Again sorry for the crappy image quality

I want that option on the 335 !
Goddamn BMW for not letting us have it here yet

When you call the North American BMW HQ they say that there is no market for this here LOL bunch of assholes, if that is the case, they should stuff that DCT on the M3 up their collective asses.

Trying to figure out what the difference is. Looks just like my step. What is the difference between the step and DCT?

It is a steptronic. The difference is that it has 2 clutches. One clutch stats spinning and "warming up" the next gear that is needed, and the other well, is holds the gear you're in.

Now I only wish that the rumors of the next gen 335i coupe being a duel clutch would be true

Screw next gen, the Europeans and Australians have DCT on their 335, no reason for us not to have that option !

People should start calling BMW directly and not the dealer and bitching about the lack of DCT. These bastards are pissing on their biggest market.

Shifting similarly as fast as this would be harming my manual shifts...It can be done ever once in a while, but still this is crazy fast.

M3 with DCT is Supposedly 2 tenths of a second faster than manual on that car... but i think that is BS, i think with the DCT, the car is like 0.4 seconds faster... judging by the Porsche 911 with Dual clutch, it is 0.4 seconds faster than 911 with manual transmission
