business card inside the door
hi guys... I was out at a club this Friday night. When I got back to my car I noticed those stupid business cards on the driver side window and threw them out. Since the weather was nice, I rolled down the front window. As the passenger side front window was going down I noticed a card there and before I could stop it, it just went inside the door through the glass opening. It has gone all the way in. When I try to open and close the passenger side window, I cannot feel the card causing any problems. Is there a easy way to remove it?
I would appreciate any suggestions. Also should I give the business whose card went inside a call? |

You would file a lawsuit against them over a business card left on the vehicle?

I almost have. One time I spent two days detailing my old car. That night one of the local clubs in town put stupid advertisment flyers on my windshield and it ended up raining on my car and the flyer became basically glued on the windshield. So the next day I drove down to the club, made the manager come outside and give me money to go get a detail done. My apartment has a no-soliciting policy with signs postes all over the entrance, so as soon as I mentioned to him that I would sue him in small claims for violating that policy and damaging my property he gave in.

I would try and forget it. It won't harm anything, and not worth the hassle of taking the door panel off just to get a business card out. Who knows, once the panel is off they could put it on wrong and bam you have a new rattle.

Thanks for the replies. I would like to leave it alone, but I am concerned that when I wash the vehicle or if it rains, any water that gets through might cause the card to soak up water and start leaving stains on my window.
I absolutely HATE that shit. I cannot believe that they left 4 cards in my card (2 on the drivers side and 2 on the passengers side). I am glad that off the 2 cards both did not get in. I'll probably drive by that place and look for a card fallen around. |

I've never seen a DIY for it, but it's very easy. Had mine off in under 2 minutes. I guess the next time I feel like it, I can take pictures and post them up but it's not rocket science once you start unscrewing things, unplugging the window/lock switch, and popping the panel plugs out. Just remember the steps you took and go in reverse when putting it back on. |

he's going to have to break the vapor seal to get inside the door. not worth it imho, cuz that seal keeps rain and water from entering the cabin

Did it have a picture of a orange lamborghini on the card? If so, then it was probably ICE. I have been getting a lot of those. Especially on school campus. They do aftermarket radio's tints, etc...

Maybe they only consider a "nice" car to be one with a horse rampant or charging bull on its bonnet.
