Pics of 188s on my E90 (& question about width)

In case anyone is curious what this looks like. Picked up these 188s for winter, fitted with my Blizzak LM22s from my previous E46.

I have a question though.. I understood the 188s were staggered, but after having the tire shop mount my tires and wheels, I cant tell the difference in width now that theyre on the car. If they're not staggered thats fine with me, probably even better for winter. I just wanted to make sure the guy put the right wheels in the right places. I even measured the tires from sidewall to sidewall and they appear to be the same all the way around. Am I goin crazy here?

I would guess if they were staggered, the tire sizes in the rears would be a wider number than the front. If not, i'd assume they're non-staggered.

could just be a 0.5" stagger like 8.0 front and 8.5 rear. If the tires are all the same, you probably can't tell from just measuring the tires.

They are OEM take offs from an e92. The tires are all 225/45/17, but they have a tolerance of 7-8.5 width according to Tire Rack, so they should be ok on this setup. To me it looks like the fronts might be standing out a little far.. or maybe its all in my head..

Edit: I checked the E92 wheel sticky and it shows the specs as 8 front, 8.5 rear. I also found this thread where someone did the same thing as me, mounted all the same size tires on staggered wheels. From his pictures its kinda tough to see the difference even with the wheels off the car. If there was some way I could measure the rim from the inside maybe?

Update

Well I confirmed that the wheels are not staggered. Using a mechanic's mirror and a flashlight I looked at the back of the spokes and found the markings from the factory. 8J width all the way around. Strange considering the BMW specs show these as staggered, maybe that changed for 2008.

I also found the reason they look off, is that the offsets for these are the same all the way around, 34mm (also marked on the spokes). The factory wheels have a 37mm offset in the back, so all I need to do is get 3mm spacers for the back and I'm in business. Hope this helps in case anyone else runs into the same situation. At least I know i'm not goin crazy!
