tab inside truck

i've been wondering this since i got the car. Can't find it in the manual. There's a black plastic tab inside my trunk, top part (under rear deck area), a little off center to the left. It swings forward and back. Any one have a clue what its for? Just noticed it again today and i haven't a clue...

no no no. This is a tiny plastic tab on the top of the trunk, right in the front. I'll try to get a pic of it.

Dude search. It's used to hold the bottom panel up if you wanna keep it up while putting/taking stuff with both hands.

is it the glow in the dark handle?? That's for little kids if they get stuck in the trunk.

Did you find that in a search? Cause i don’t see how searching for the words "tab" and "trunk" would yield any relevant results.

That's cool though. Thanks. Pretty sure that's what i'm talking about. Have to try it now.

When you lift the boot/trunk floor up you can use the tab to hold the boot floor open.

For example i keep a little bag of car care stuff in the storage compartment, i can use the tab to hold up the flap.

No worries buddy.

There are a few threads on here about it but finding them can be hard and its a common question though, even my SA didnt know what it was for when i got my car.

A lot of people think its pointless but i use it every time i was my car as i store interior wipe cloths etc in there.

Hope you find it useful now!
