had the ZHP knob on my E46 M3, and LOVED it. It made the stick shorter, and the weighted knob felt great.

Dumb question, but this still should work on an E90 M3 right? Not sure if the slots/notches for the fitting changed (most likely not). I'll need to find a good place to find a new boot, if I decide to try this out.

Bump for a great looking upgrade.

well i have 2 issues:
1. im gonna need a boot with this since my shifter and boot are one piece
2. i do not think 150 is a fair price. the shifter is being sold on leatherZ for about 50-60 bucks a piece. i know you've done some work and research, but 200% profit on a shift knob is not reasonable IMHO. if you think you can get to a fair more realistic price that's different than that, please go ahead and PM me, if not, good luck

Bump,

and the boot, You can cut your existing boot,
the NEW M3's (E90 E92 E93) come without a one piece knob/boot, So you will not need to cut or buy a new boot

So just to review, all newer M3's will NOT need to buy a new boot, just this knob,

and this knob attaches to the stock wires and installation could be done in 5-10 mins,

Only E46 M3's would need to either #1 cut the stock boot, or buy another,

So bumping this thread as I have re-stocked with both colors

You do have to cut your old boot if you want to use it again with this knob. It's all one piece man.

I asked tischer and they gave me this as an answer

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462

Could this be model year dependent?
I could have sworn when I was at my dealer a month ago the M3 had a 2 part boot and shift knob,

Are you seriously arguing with people who own E9x M's and drive them every day? It's one piece.

Im asking not arguing,
Im being told 2 different things,

Honestly I don't care if its one or two, If its one and you want to fit one then you have cut your boot,
If its two then you don't

makes no difference to me
