Parked Car Ventilation Operation

Can this feature be used to blow HOT air into the car for those cold winter days?

Im not sure where the car would get heat from as i have yet to try the feature - I assumed the scheduled timer started the car at a given period and then shuts it off?

Or is it just using battery for fan only?

Whats the temporary button you're talking about?

Yes it can. The "Rest" button in winter will blow warm air into the car for up to 15 minutes, but on condition that the engine be warmed up first. It uses engine heat to do so.

I use it in winter all the time

Sorry to disagree old friend... but that is a separate function altogether. PCV is set to come on at a pre-determined time to circulate air through the cabin... ambient outside air.

Rest rocks in the winter though! Especially for those short stops.

stretching will just circulate air around you, if you REST you get warm air too, provided you moved a bit before resting

Ahh, thats why my rest button wasn't working the other day.....my engine must have not have been warmed up enough. I thought my button was broken, and then was confused when it worked later in the day.

The Parked Car Ventilation has the two timers. Neither is going to provide heat as LEDZEP and others have stated. These timers will merely run a fan for thirty minutes (each) at a user set time to bring ambient air into the cabin, hence the term "ventilation". If you want more than thirty minutes you can set one for some time and then set the other for thirty minutes later. You can't set it more than 24 hours in advance (really 23 hours and 59 minutes).

The REST function only works after the engine has gotten up to operating temperature. It circulates coolant through the heater core inside the cabin to provide "residual heat" for ten to fifteen minutes while the car is at ... drum roll, please... rest.
