Love the cool weather...

The past week the weather in CA has been rather cool... cool enough to not have to use the air conditioning at all at any time of the day. Anyone else notice a huge increase in MPG from not running their AC at all? I didn't turn on my AC this whole tank, and I managed to squeeze 360-365 miles... which is a lot more than my average 300-310 miles. I didn't change driving habits or do anything different, just no AC.

Sucks though that it's about to get hot again in CA starting today.

I feel the same. I love the cold weather, I hope after this small heat wave we get more consistent cold weather so we can get more power and better MPG

Cool weather? I'm hoping it's over soon, but here I'm afraid that this is just the beginning. I won't need to use my AC again for about 7 months but my seat heaters are sure getting a workout!

Yeah! I was actually looking forward to the cold weather a bit so I could use the seat warmers and the REST button. REST is awesome. Last night it was pretty cold out when I was pumping gas but I had hit the REST button so when I got in the car it was nice and toasty

A great feature indeed! That said, I'm a bit apprehensive to use that feature though. I think I killed the battery in my X5 using that too much, but I can't say for sure if that was the cause. It's probably because I made a lot of short trips in the winter - driving the kids to school, sports, groceries, etc. and I enjoyed the feature so much I used it every time I stopped. I'm being a lot more judicious with it now. I've lived in New England for all of my 47+ years and I hate the cold weather!

I love the seat warmers so much, I'm always a little disappointed when winter ends and I don't need them anymore.

I notice about a 1mpg increase without the A/C running (28 mpg average versus 27 mpg average).

what does the REST button do again? I never touch that button. And I'm not sure but I think I gained about 2-3 mpg w/o running the AC at all for a full tank.
