Some lady on her cellphone backed into my car today as i was walking out of a store and it was parked. She gave me like a "my bad" look and then drove away...still on her phone

anyway i walked to the front of the car and didnt see any damage despite the fact that I heard a small crack when it happened. She hit my license plate holder basically. Just drove home kinda pissed with a pic of her plate # just in case.

A few minutes later i remembered that my k40 system uses the front and back plate holders as laser diffusers(?) so now im kinda worried that the plastic plate holder that snapped out of place and is now bent up in the middle could be internally damaged in regards to the k40 tech. I really dont know much about the system so there may not even be any electronics inside there, im gonna open it up tomorrow to make sure but i was wondering if anyone knew how sensitive these things are.

How is that going to be difficult if he took the picture at the scene of the accident. Hit and run = running away, picture taken while running away. Well it would definitely be better than not having anything at all.

yeah dude, I would have either A.) quickly grab something to throw, that way she'd have to get out, assuming I was able to break a window or create a big enough dent). B.) quickly get into my car and buckle up, follow that bitch home and go ape shit on her ass

Same here.

I would have got in my car as quick as possible and chased her. If she didn't stop, I would have called the police while I was following her.

She might have only hit the plate, but if you heard a crack, internal damage is very likely.

I f*cking hate people like her, they don't deserve to drive. + Driving while holding a phone is an offence with a fine and points here.

I wish it were illegal here. The roads are littered with idiots talking on the phone. On my way to work today there was this bitch in an SUV right on my tail even though we were doing 90mph and of course she was chatting away on her phone. If I had to hit the brakes at all she would have rear-ended me.

If i was gonna report her i shoudlve done it then, i wasn't thinking i guess and when i saw no damage i guess i assumed it was her car that made the noise and it wasnt worth getting into a whole thing with this bitch..i wanna know if i should be worried about my k40 laser diffuser in the plate holder, is it gonna be ruined because of water damage in the rain or could it have been messed up by the impact?

No offense, but I wouldn't sit around and worry "what if" something is broken inside. You said earlier the plate with the laser jammers is bent. Unfortunately the only way to tell something is broken is to actually have a cop shoot a laser at you. Report her NOW. The longer you wait, the longer you make it harder to recoup any damages should something be broken. "Well, I didn't know if she caused any damage" isn't an excuse. As soon as it happened you should have been on the phone with the police.

then we'll let survival of the fittest take care of those. but phone is not the worse i've seen.....i've seen some other crazy shit around here. They should definitely enforce this much more. At times I'm seriously fear that I might get into a serious accident because of these people and not my fault.
