My contact just confirmed after speaking with KW that all HAS kit deliveries have indeed been pushed back to October-mid November

Yes; looks great, but I wouldn't touch the MSS kit if I can't lower the front like yours

I could have my guy try to figure out what you guys did to lower the front perfectly, but that begs the question: why didn't MSS do that from the start? I'm also tracking the car and worried about any modifications "outside" of manufacturers recommended specs.

If you are truly tracking, Id leave it stock.

As for MSS- no idea as they claim "settlement" after 2k miles and I wont even have the car by then probably. But they did a fabulous job with the spring rates to match up with the EDC.

And then there is H&R which barely drops the G80 rear at all and drops the front over an inch. I guess if I could only have the perfect drop or a decent drop with a better ride; Id go with the latter.

MSS doesn't do that because of the feedback from F80 market that they can't adjust when the adjuster is on top.
Which is true.

But, since you are going to track it, I personally won't go that low, regardless MSS or KW HAS or KW V4.
First, you are reducing the amount of travel.
Second, KW HAS and V4 is not good for track since they are progressive spring.

While MSS is linear, where you can predict how the car will react.

I will create a write up this weekend on the MSS hack.

I'd only be willing to buy MSS if I could lower the front like Vic has. The G82 in particular is 4x4 and I want it to be less than a finger gap. I have always gone with high quality coilovers (Actually had AST on a car and Nitrons on another. I am curious however, why AST is a "no go"

AST changed the rake.
Which causes more load to the front suspension and brake during braking.
They didn't reduce the height evenly between front and rear suspension.

This is why I stayed clear of them as I just cant have the loss of the great chassis the G8X has.

Another thing is that the M4 sits even higher than the M3 (I posted a side by side alot) and that car will have even a greater rake.

I would love to see an explanation with data for the claims you are making about the AST springs.

I have over 5K miles on my set and all it does is improve the ride and feedback day to day. Which is normally the point of lowering springs. Once I have my Moton set on our car then the real performance "testing" will begin.

The springs improve the feel and feedback of the car. I have over 5K miles on mine and have installed 6 sets now with the same exact feedback from those G80 owners.

Great to hear.

As an end user and not a retailer/installer I have my thoughts and experiences. Thanks for yours.

I know how the car came from the factory and wanted an equal front and rear drop vs rake.

Glad that you like it.
I am not saying that it is bad product.
Just different purposes.

H&R sport spring is the same setup, just not as aggressive of a drop compared to AST.
With H&R I can feel the weight is more front biased and more oversteer.

I didn't collect much data since I figure it is just down to personal preferences.

One thing that I can say, I always try my best to retain the factory rake.
Unless if customer wants look over function even after my explanation.

We got the notice of delay from KW also, which made a couple of people on the waiting list move to AST springs, so we have a couple of more spots open when those finally arrive.

After installing and getting feedback from AST springs we've sold & shipped - nothing but good feedback both on the install process and end user both aesthetically and comfortable on the road. We've had fantastic results with AST on both E9X and F8X M3/M4s, and don't expect any different with the G8x product line down the road.
