Lowering options for G80 Xdrive

As the title states, are there any lowering options already available for the G80 xdrive?

Looking to get all the mods in before the car arrives…

Apparently removing the shipping blocks is a cheap and effective first step

I too am hoping to get confirmation on this soon. I will be taking delivery of my 22 M3CX in January. I am hoping to have the spacers, lowering springs and mid-pipe before I get the car. It sounds like R44 Performance currently has an Xdrive in there shop and will know the answers to the questions soon!

KW lists springs ONLY for the RWD G80 right now. I would think AWD options will be available very soon from a variety of manufacturers.

I am waiting for my M4 Xdrive and just like you i would like to have all the mods ready when the car arrives, I would like to install the BMW M Performance Suspension, but like the H&R they are not for sale yet.

Ryan from H&R and he told me this about the springs:

"Hi,

I checked with my engineers in Germany. The springs have not been tested for Xdrive, so we cannot say they work. Most of the time the springs are different between Xdrive and RWD. We will be working on Xdrive soon. I can let you know when we find out about Xdrive springs."

What size of spacers you will do?

I am thinking to do what H&R recommends if i can find them in black color:
11mm- 2255664SW
13mm- 2655664SW
Bolts- 14254301SW

Thanks in advance!

I looked at KW's website and found something interesting. Check out the "parts approval" and "install instruction" PDF. On both of those documents, it's shows that the KW HAS kit works for G80 2WD and G82 xDrive. I'm not sure if I'm interpreting correctly. Since both the G80/82 used the same HAS kit I figured this would work for both xDrive version.

Let me know what you guys think.

Noticed that too but was wondering if it was a mistake. Imo the drop advertised for kw is too small front and rear to be noticeable

In technicality, any HAS spring will fit between RWD and AWD since they spring seats are the same regardless RWD or AWD.
The only difference would be the adjuster setting will be different.

So, in the case of lowering spring where it is designed to give specific drop, it will fit.
It just the amount of drop will be questionable.
Usually it comes to 2 factors.
1. Weight.
2. Shock length.

In this case, mainly the front will be different since RWD and AWD uses the same rear suspension and same weight.

With that saying, anyone local to me with AWD, I am interested in borrowing the car to test fit the MSS Spring.
Of course I will give some deal.

So if both the G82 and G82 xdrive are the same weight, same body, etc. then I have to assume that the springs would be interchangeable.
I could be wrong but I'll bet they would work just fine.

Shock length would be the next issue.
If the shock is shorter, then the car will be higher.

OK maybe a dumb question but why would the shock length be different in the G82 and G82 xdrive? What am I missing?

Front axles.
I am not sure on this car, but the E90 generation had different front suspension for xDrive models.
