I want to get spacers on my M3c AWD
and I live in the lovely state of NY! Will I have any problems with it in the winter or will it damage the car down the road one day!

You'll be fine... I run spacers on all my M cars and have no issues in winter especially in snow.

You'll be fine.
I have sold a lot of spacers to east coast customer with their F90 M5, F9x M8, F95 X5M, and F96 X6M.
Just need to make sure they are a good quality brand and apply enough anti-seize.

Not to thread hijack too much but anyone know where I can get 8mm spacers for the M3 comp? I see 10mm, 12mm and up but really just want a very minor stance upgrade.

8mm may be too thin to maintain the hubcentric lip on the center.
