M6 VS GT-R

Just shows you how good 4WD is for launching, and just how much it EATS power on the roll.

I dont think this M6 is stock though, but i didnt think it would reel in the GT-R that quickly.

M6 sounded sooooo hard when it flew by. The GT-R had its windows closed. Imagine the noise with them open

As much as I love the V10 that one`s nowhere near stock. If the GTR is flat out then that M6 is pushing some serious power.

to be fair has that particular GTR hit the 112mph limiter?

or the M6 has at least 600bhp

Not really mate, Nissan 475bhp, M6 507BHP. both the same weight but nissan has huge torque... all of which is eaten up once rolling by the 4wd...

I rekon rolling 70-80mph the m6 would pull away even in stock trim.

No joke mate, Nissan Sunny GT-R can do high 12's with only 265bhp. There so good at launching.

Rolling start with M6 and GT-R.

Just a testment to the M6 and the M/// Department. To produce a car nealry 4 years ago which can humble a Modern day Nissan GT-R which is hailed as a supercar and a ''Mini Veyron'' is outstanding.

Well done BMW and the M// boys.

Yeh but you can only drive in a straight line, in too high a gear, and from 45.7mph to 65.3mph.

What % of torque is eaten up by 4WD?

Can you explain why this happens?

1/4 mile times are of no interest to me.

I was just pointing out that there are youtube videos which show whatever car you want to be faster. And that matters nothing to me either!

Can i buy you a pack of top trumps for Christmas?

Hi MrS3, buddy, pal, matey, old chap, humble friend....

Look at the M5board vids etc, they guys trying to prove what cars faster in a straightline..... Just like that vid... two guys pinning it from a rolling speed..

M6 pulled away.

4wd transmission has a higher % loss from the engine power and torque compared to a 2wd car. Thought someone like you would know this.

Two cars of identical power and weight. Rolling start from say 60mph. The 2wd car would pull away. KNOWN FACT.

Obviously there are alot of variables MrS3, in this case the both cars have similar weight, similar power 475 vs 507 but the nissan has more torque (i think but not sure 450 ibs) compared to the 384 of the M6.

But the nissan has 4wd which has a marked amount more transmission losses.

Thus a probable reason to why the M6 pulls away from a ROLLING start,

Sorry if ive offended you because of your love of the GT-R.... still a great car mate dont worry.

Thats why the E92 M3 can do 0-100 in 10 secs flat compared to the 11.5 of the RS4, with similar weight power and torque.
One is 2wd the other 4wd.
