I know there's another thread on exhaust but today i went to my trusted exhaust shop and cut the resonator after the sec cat only and put two straight pipes and the car sounds fantastic now. That's all i did, burbles, crackles, tone is beautiful (not raspy or obnoxious). I recommend everyone to do this instead of cutting the secondary's and other resonator after it. Try it out let me know what you guys think!

Been thinking about this alot… I think that might be the ticket plus air box mods if bimmerlink can fully open the valves for when you wanna do full hooligan mode. It probably wont drone too bad valves open if you keep both resonators. Sounds like the car is back up and running after the racechip situation? Did you remove or run a less hot map?

Hey PLife good to hear from you, ran a lower map and so far so good. Just won't go back into map 7 that's forsure. I did a charcoal delete on the air box by the way, help it free up a bit. Also You should cut the secondary cats you'll love it trust me! I didn't mess with the valves gives you a nice choice on when to be quiet or loud.

Awesome!!! Glad to hear man. I would still have the valves connected but there is s program called bimmerlink which works on my x5 where u can also do valves open, closed, or auto with the push of a button on your phone (and a blutooth obd reader plugged in)… in addition to stock programming

No drone at all, and you can hear it decently. It's not excessive at all

I think I'd leave the primary res, seen an Instagram clip where it gets extremely raspy when removed.

Would warranty on the engine actually be void for pulling a secondary cat?

Less likely with a legit after market part or would it be all the same?

He might've taken out all resonators actually, not too sure but the farther down seems more rasp

That's my setup. This is straight pipe with secondary cat, and both res delete.

Going to add secondary res this weekend
