Question Transfer Case Compatibility?

My transfer case seems to have failed. Won't calibrate. Gear is good.

Mine's a 2007 3.0si. I found a good price on a used transfer case from a 2006. I see it has a different part number but thought perhaps it is compatible anyway. Is it? If so, are there any others that are also compatible?

Thanks!

Is it drivable? What are your transfer case symptoms? Thanks

The 3 dash lights you get when the gear goes (but gear was fine when I opened it up), rear wheels spin only in low traction. Calibration fails when you try to run it.

I found a used one which passed calibration and now it's good.
