Hi guys,

Picking up a G06 M50i on Wednesday, Alpine white with Cerium. Has the 22" bi-color rims (not the cerium ones). I would have ordered black grill and extended shadowline, but options were limited and got a great deal on this one.

What is involved in deleting Cerium on the X6? How expensive are we talking?

I have the iconic glow grill in cerium, which is fine, but I prefer black I think.

Mirror caps, boomerangs, grill and exhaust tips... Has anyone done the full switchover and what did it entail and cost?

I’m researching that too. Check out Renegade. They make all the parts in carbon fiber. I have an X6 on order with Cerium and the glow grill but I’m wondering how easy it is move the LED to the aftermarket grill. Swapping out all the cerium for carbon fiber and adding a Cf front lip would look killer.

Mirror caps from BMW will run you around $800.

Im about to have the grill painted Gloss black by a buddy with a body shop.

I have the cerium on an X5 M50i and love it. Think twice about making the changeover to black.

I suggest getting those pieces wrapped (except exhaust) rather than replaced. Replacement will cost you likely north of $1k with all the parts you'd need to order.

Unless you're going body color, just wrap them black. Much cheaper, and unless you're a foot away, most people won't see a difference.
