Remapped 320d (223hp/517Nm)

First of all I want to say that this was done by a company in Sweden called V-Tech but I know thereīs a huge interest in remapped 320d with the new ECU (177Hp) in this forum. We also did a dyno run with a Spider box fitted which Iīve had since spring this year. Thatīs the reasons why Iīm posting here

The results were:
Stock: 182Hp/365,7Nm
With the Spiderbox fitted: 193,1Hp/443,3Nm
Remapped: 223,3Hp/517Nm

The car felt faster and more alive with the Spiderbox but after doing a proper remap its a whole new car. The biggest difference is from 0-60mph and the reving. With the remap it pulls much stronger right up to the rev limit. Itīs also more pleasent to drive since I donīt have to downshift as much as before. I have a friend that has a 330 (e46 231hp) and before the remap he was a little bit faster…now itīs the opposite

Hereīs some tests I did with an accelerometer called AP22 which is a very accurate instrument.

43-68 mph (70-110km/h) in third gear:
Stock 4,90 sec
Spider 4,37 sec
Remap 3,86 sec

62-93 mph (100-150km/h) in fourth gear:
Stock 9,39 sec
Spider 7,76 sec
Remap 7,12 sec

Hereīs two prints from the dyno. The first one shows stock, box and remap and the second one shows stock and remap.

So Iīm really happy with the results. Itīs still not a fast car but itīs ok as my daily driver.

Looks nice, congratulations.

Interesting graphs that show how a Spider Box fits between stock and full remap too.

screw 0-60s, screw 1/4 mile races - the only figures that you need as a daily driver is the one you just quoted here and they are excellent - 3,86 seconds to overtake a truck on a single-carriage way... NICEEEEEEE!!

I'm so depressed that a 320d can be faster than a 330i

That's amazing, unbelievable even

Their website isn't quoting any numbers for the 320D 177HP.
And they bring the 163HP to 188HP, which is very conservative.

What do they get out of a new 325D??

I'm stunned, 517Nm from the 320d.

How is that possible??

I donīt know about the 325d but they have done some 330d both giving about 290 hk and 310 hk. Since Esstuning have a 280Hp map for the 325d I suppose that V-tech can do the same.

But they did another 177hp a day or two before mine which gave 237 hp! I was hoping to get there but every car is different.
I donīt think they ever gonna put my map (around 225 hk) on their website for the 177Hp version. I asked for a little extra power. But talking about impressive. They had a 120d there before mine and they hade about 580Nm in one program but they decided to go down to about 500Nm to save transmission etc. So thereīs definite much torque to get from the 2.0 liters if one wants too.

That's a huge torque spike for a very brief period, but then the Swedes were always a bit mental
