Less than a week in. CEL.

So Just bought the X on Monday and yesterday it blessed me with a CEL. Ran the codes and all signs are pointing to the tank ventilation system. A little research shows this is covered under the SULEV warranty, even at 64k miles. I'll update after the repair is completed late next week, as the appointment is on Thursday.

wow, one day after buying the car. On the bright side, it's a known issue and will be covered by warranty. Good Luck.

Sounds like what happened to me except mine came on in less than a day after purchase. Dealership blamed themselves for putting in the wrong type of gas (unleaded instead of premium).

They replaced the vent valve & pressure sensor - all under warranty.

I got 2 of the same codes (195014 and 191C02) recently, too. Take a look here for more info: https://f48.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1797949.

I did some digging and diagnostics myself before bringing into the dealer. They confirmed my suspicion - bad fuel vent valve. I couldn't 100% confirm the vent valve was bad with my visual and "blow into the holes" technique. But, apparently the internal diaphragm, although centered, was loose. It got replaced under warranty.

I recommend you remove the engine cover and take a few close up photos of the vent valve to get an idea of how the connections should look when properly secured. When I inspected the repair I found the electrical connector was not seated properly, which I easily fixed since I had it apart already.

Good luck getting your CELs fixed.

Thanks for that. I think mine is having the same issue. The light comes on and stays on for a while. Was off for a few miles yesterday but then came back on. Must be faulty.

Dealer sorted it out, covered 100% under the SULEV warranty.

Just got this yesterday. Kind of a bummer I just bought the car a month ago.

I just got a CEL on my 2017 X1 w. 28k miles.

I have a bluetooth OBD and torque pro so will see if this shows me any codes.

Read that Icarly is a good system for BMW's.

Any feedback on the Icarly system or something better.

Look into ISTA+ for best dealership type diagnostic software you can use. Will give you all codes and steps to help resolve the problem.
