Heads up . . .
Morning all,
I have had my car serviced, and I was advised my car had been recalled for a "Quality Enhancement". I had no knowledge of this, and it seems it's just an update. It took four hours for this to be downloaded. When I picked the car up, my Driver Profile, Vehicle and iDrive settings had been erased. Is there a way these settings can be restored? Are the details still on my key? |

The key reads the details from the car and does not work the other way round.

I am severely hacked off with this. All radio stations have been lost; the favourite key settings have been lost. When I try to allocate a function to a favourite key, I get a message: 'unable to save this setting.' My navigation details and destinations have been wiped. Not at all impressed with this "Quality Enhancement".

I had an idrive firmware update a month ago at the dealer and I was ready for all my data to be gone, and indeed it was even though they didn't specifically call it out. |
