Went to get my car inspected a week or 2 ago. Guy said my battery must have been disconnected (it had been), and it came up as not ready, and to drive 80-100 miles. So I just went back, after putting over 200 miles on the car. And its still saying not ready.. wtf.

Anyone have an idea on what to do?

Guessing he's talking about the emissions readiness monitors. Keep driving, highway speed preferably. If you have a scan tool you can check yourself but otherwise just keep driving.

Got ya. Weird cause I just did like 70 miles on the highway before the test. Guess I'll just keep driving it

It's a bit confusing, I had a similar problem and found out that you have to be cruising for at least 15 minutes. Meaning, don't have the car in a lower gear (keep it in the highest gear) and cruising along like people do in regular cars on the highway for at least 15 whole minutes. 🤦🏻*♂️

That comes out to about 20 miles one way if you calculate the bit about driving it to the highway to get it warmed up.

They want to ecu to get a chance to monitor the air/fuel/CO content under a very controlled condition at highway speed.

Try googling: BMW Drive Cycle

Good excuse for a road trip, especially now that spring is here.
