I was hoping that this was going to be about an actual 335d tune, but I guess not.

Europeans 335d come out with an output of 286hp and 560nm, we already saw some of them chipped up to 350hp and 700nm, they truly pull like raging bulls and their fuel economy is sci-fi for a 335i of course.
But........there's nothing like a twin turbo petrol by BMW

The engine set up is completely different. The tunes take the torque to the limit of the auto gearboxes without additonal hardware.

Remaps on diesels in the UK Europe vary from 320bhp and 650Nm to 350+bhp and 750Nm, with a fair few variences in between.

Many cars have now been running a map for in excess of 30k miles with no major issues.

Do a search on the UK forum for details.

Jules.

My 335d has been remapped for over 10,000 miles now by DMS and is running around 345bhp. It pulls REALLY well and is averaging 36.2 mpg!!

Question for you 335d folks. Has BMW added tune detecting features to your progmans, too?

dxb335d you must be really caning that! Mind you, I dont do tyre smoking burn outs on a dragstrip!

I did have DMS loosen the throttle response a little as the standard map to too sensitive in traffic, perhaps that is something to do with it?

I believe it is, but it's a diff. variant that can handle more torque. It's still the trans that locks all gears to give that manual feel.
