New 2021/22 M240i MT6 order

Was at dealer the other day and looks like my next one is scheduled for production week 18, mid-May. Has anyone made changes to their order in weeks leading up to production? I'm considering changing color from mineral white to Estoril blue. Either way it will have oyster leather. My original thought was the white since it will be used mainly in the southwest desert, but the blue/oyster is such a nice combo........First world issues!

Better do it now as once it is scheduled for production (about 3 weeks before the build date) you are done with changes.

If in the southwest desert, from Sedona to Valley of Fire to Red Rock Canyon, the natural mix (and great for photos!) would be Sunset Orange over Oyster!

Interestingly, in the southwest during last summer's unusually high heat, I did not find that my white 3 cooled down any faster than my Valencia Orange 2. Both cooled very well and both have light tan interiors and Xpel window tint.

I wouldn't change the color. Mineral White is stellar in the 2 series. It can look Alpine White in bright light, shark skin flat white/silver at dusk, makes the car looks visually longer and wider, and the color shadows the flanks and body work far better than any other color available. Plus it doesn't show dirt or scratches or dents much at all.

If you're someone who likes to change wheels, I feel like you have more options of what will look good with a white car instead of blue, in my opinion. I'm not a fan of black (or bronze if you're bold) wheels on blue car, but they can look great on white. Same goes for black accent pieces.
