I've recently noticed a 'knock' from the front, left (I think).

It seems to happen when I'm driving over uneven ground, or I can make it happen by steering right, then left (or vice versa) over about 5mph.
If I turn hard left, right, left, right when the car is stationary and it doesn't make any noise.

I've had the car up on a jack and have given each front wheel a good tug in all directions and I cant detect any play.

I dont think it is steering rack or track rod ends as it would make the noise when stationary.

Can anyone suggest anything else for me to investigate next time I jack it up. Maybe engine mounts?
