I have been looking a M3's and over the past two weeks and have decided that I will go for an 2009 vs 2008. I thought I would ask if anyone has purchased or at least researched the M3 pricing at Schomp (Denver). I keep reading on this forum about getting M3's at $500 above invoice on 2008's and $1500 on 2009's but they have quoted no more than $1,700 off msrp. I purchased my 2006 330i from Schomp and received a pretty good deal then and have been very happy with their service so I am leary of going elsewhere.

With this in mind, the obvious option is to simply bring in the retail and wholesale pricing sheet I found on this site and negotiate from there but I thought I would at least ask if anyone has had any luck with getting good deals from them.

Not sure which year you are referring to - 2008 or 2009 when you say invoice? I don't think anybody is getting an invoice deal on a 2009 or anywhere near it. $1700 off an ordered 09 is a decent deal in a market without a lot of competition, but you will see better prices in other markets. I just bought an 08 E90 M3 from Schomp and got a very good deal (net of trade). I found they offered lower discounts off msrp but higher trade in values so netting to a good deal. If you don't have a trade and want the absolute best deal, you should probably go out of market (or get an 08). Hope that helps.

To the extent it helps, I was verbally told at Schomp two weeks ago that if I were to order a 2009 M3, I could expect approximately a $2400 discount off MSRP.

With the opening of their new mega BMW (only) dealership, I think you will find Schomp to be very aggressive on pricing for much of the near term. I've been told that Schomp have committed to BMW NA to increase sales at an accelerated rate - helped to justify their new 70,000 sq ft dealership. This even though they are the largest BMW dealer in the state of Colorado.

If Schomp has that incentive, that might be the option. Murray is great for service, but tends to be inflexible. Not sure if dealer in Loveland or Colo Springs have the volume...

I still say with the economy the way it is (and dealerships closing across the country) that as we get closer to the holidays they'll deal more. Have to move the inventory.
