TPMS Mounting Brackets (no holes needed to be drilled!)
I was originally given the idea about drilling the wheel to accomodate the TPMS sensor (since putting the TPMS sensor in the current valve stem area will not allow it to sit flush), though I couldn't find a local shop that would be willing to drill.
Did a bit a research, and found that there are alternatives to drilling, and the kit was only 60 bucks. Here is the link for it, http://029d716.netsolstores.com/tpmsstrapkit.aspx You can also buy just the mounting bracket or just the steel strap seperately. I ordered them today and will get them in sometime next week, so I'll take pictures of the install and then post them back up here. It seems to be a pretty good idea, not sure if this is a repost or not, but I couldn't find anything like this on this forum. I'll keep ya guys updated. |

I am going to get my new wheels put on today and was told that they could simply remove the TPMS from the OEM wheels and fit them to the new wheels.... is this not true?

its true for wheels that dont have oddly mounted valve stem openings, such as 2/3 piece wheels
on my CSL reps, they fit just fine, for my new set of DPEs they will not work as I'm told, so I went with this strap |

I don't get it, I've never seen those TPMS strap things? I do understand 3pc wheels will need an adapter for the TPMS but when I have installed 3pc wheels I just install the TPMS on the inside barrel and attach an extended valve.

strap is similar, but you strap the tpms onto the strap, which straps onto the wheel center, yea i got mine drilled in the long run, much better...now i got a rubbing problem to deal with on my fitment
