How to display gear in drive mode?

Is it possible to code the current gear in drive mode?

This function comes as part of the 'Alpina' flash for the TCU which alters the shifting, or if you use the Xhp flashtool to recode the TCU at which point many functions of the TCU can be customised.
I don't think it's possible to code as a standalone item on its own, but I'm sure someone else will chime in if I'm wrong.
Xhp flashtool could give you this and use stock shiftmaps if you coded it that way through their custom module, but that's a pretty expensive way of just displaying current gear in Drive.
