F32 Coding mirror to unfold when starting engine?
I have coded my car to fold/unfold upon locking unlocking. But is it possible to have the mirror only unfold when i start my engine?
I'm moving to Canada, and i'm afraid snow/ice will be blocking the mechanism before i get to clean the car. Thanks! MM |

My boss has new Audi A4 and his mirrors unfold only when he starts the engine.
IDK about BMW's tho, I -think- it's not possible on F30's but not 100% sure. |

I lost so much time trying to code folding/unfolding with lock/unlock, and then I gave up.everything else from cheat sheet I managed sooner or later, but this not.
But I do agree with you, that it would be even better to unfold with starting the engine. |

The mirrors will be the least of your problems if you leave the car parked outdoors overnight. I wouldn't live anywhere in Canada without a garage with the exception of around Vancouver.

I've only done coding with Carly. There's an option to fold/unfold via comfort which sounds like you've done. There's then a separate option to Turn off the unfold mirrors after comfort close. There's then an option you can have to automatically unfold the mirrors at a set speed. (1 mph/6 mph ect) This would hopefully give you comfort fold but not unfold until you're ready to drive away. I'm not sure if it will work as I've not tried it but sounds like there's a good chance it could. |
